Tri Auto ZX is the world's only cordless endodontic handpiece with a built-in apex locator, giving the clinician the capability and convenience to electronically monitor the root canal before, during, and after instrumentation. Tri Auto ZX offers superior control and flexibility with adjustable torque settings, while choice of automatic or manual mode operation provides versatility. Combined with the technology and accuracy of the Root ZX II apex locator, Tri Auto ZX significantly increases accuracy and safety and helps prevent destruction of the natural configuration of the root.

TRI AUTO ZX offers three automatic functions that significantly increase the accuracy and safety of root canal treatment:

1. AUTO START/STOP: The handpiece automatically starts when the file enters the canal and stops when the file is removed from the canal.
2. AUTO TORQUE REVERSE: The handpiece automatically stops and reverses the rotation of the nickel titanium file when too much pressure is applied.
3. AUTO APICAL REVERSE: The handpiece automatically stops and reverses the rotation of the file when the tip reaches a distance from the apex preset by the clinician.
